A catch-all e-mailbox is one that gathers all the messages sent to inactive addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Only one mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and thus you will never miss messages because the other side has an outdated email address or has made a typographical error. The downside of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving a lot of junk messages, but this issue can be rectified using anti-spam filtering software. It is also essential to keep in mind that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot forward incoming email messages to a 3rd-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

You’ll be able to set up a catch-all mailbox effortlessly in case you’ve got a shared website hosting plan with our company. The Email Manager in our in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel is full-featured, yet incredibly simple to use, and it will permit you to enable various features, including the catch-all one, with only several clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you’ve created will be displayed in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each of them you will see a small "Catch-all" icon. Clicking on it once will enable this feature, clicking it again will disable it. As you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will inform you if you’ve already got another one with this feature activated or if you’ve got active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all option can be enabled without any difficulty if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you’ve created using the domain names hosted in the semi-dedicated server account will be displayed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will find a mini logo handily situated directly next to each one. With just one mouse click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing provided that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with the option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and activate this option through the contextual menu that will come into sight. In case any of the prerequisites for creating a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will let you know, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
